Food and Nutrition Services Technician PRN - Dietary


Located adjacent to the Texas Medical Center, Park Plaza and Plaza Specialty Hospitals offering 444 licensed beds and the convenience of a community hospital with two distinct purposes. Since 1975, Park Plaza Hospital has been offering complete medical services, including surgery as well as outpatient, imaging and rehabilitation. Plaza Specialty Hospital, a hospital within a hospital, has been providing long-term acute care to those needing prolonged hospitalization and recovery since 1994.

 

Park Plaza/Plaza Specialty Hospital is currently looking for a Food and Nutrition Services Technician PRN – Dietary.

 
Responsibilities:
 
  • The Food Service Aide performs a variety of food service and dish room duties as well as other related tasks for all customers including patients, physicians, cafeteria customers and staff.
  • Completes assembly of meal service and both patients and guest. Delivers and picks up menus and trays to patient room.
  • Serves all internal and external customers of the cafeteria. Performs all dish room duties; may perform some frying and grilling on an as needed basis.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work area, including dish room, cafeteria, and dining room.
  • Effective exceptional Customer service skills for the Food Service department with all departments, physicians, staff and administration.
  • Performs various duties for patient tray line, cafeteria food service.
  • Performs assembly or serving of food and delivering of food.
  • Performs some grilling and frying and serving customers.
  • Maintains the safety and sanitation of kitchen work area.
  • Delivers and picks up patient trays and menus on time.
  • Maintain HACCP food safety label and dating of food product in kitchen area
  • Other duties as assigned; with additional training / clearance as required for the duty.

Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or GED Prefered
  • Prefer one year experience in healthcare
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills. Customer Service Driven. Basic computer skills
