Located adjacent to the Texas Medical Center, HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center offering 444 licensed beds and the convenience of a community hospital with two distinct purposes. Since 1975, HCA Healthcare Medical Center has been offering complete medical services, including surgery as well as outpatient, imaging and rehabilitation. HCA Healthcare Medical Center Specialty Hospital Medical Center, a hospital within a hospital, has been providing long-term acute care to those needing prolonged hospitalization and recovery since 1994.
HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center is currently looking for a  
 MRI – Radiology.

  • Under the supervision of the Radiology Director and the Radiology Manager, the MRI Technologist is responsible for the provision of Imaging Services to include the specialty areas of MRI, routine diagnostic, portable x-rays, and fluoroscopy. 
  • Oversees and facilitates all processes associated with MRI patient flow.
  • Responsible for maintaining on-going Quality Control (QC) processes for the MRI department.
  • Acts as preceptor to train new staff and provides technical expertise to staff.
  • Ensures patient safety by providing adequate magnetic and radiation protection following standards of care of the Institute for Magnetic Resonance Safety, Education, and Research (IMRSER); and the Texas Department of Radiation Control.  
  • Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Current (ARRT) (R) (MR) registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR) registry eligible.
  •  Must attain ARRT (MR) certification within six months of hire date.
  •   Current certification with the TMB (CMRT).
Experience required or preferred:
  • Three to five years previous MRI experience.
