I seek to lead medical educators in discovering and implementing novel methods of education and learning. I practice medicine in a way that emphasizes patient experience and compassionate care to vulnerable patient populations.

Spencer Greene, MD, MS, FACEP, FACMT, FAACT, FAAEM

Director of Toxicology

Dr. Greene is a board-certified emergency physician, medical toxicologist, and addiction medicine specialist. His interests include envenomations, salicylate poisoning, antimuscarinic toxicity, anticonvulsant overdoses, and alcohol withdrawal. He has authored more than 50 scholarly articles and is the recipient of multiple teaching and clinical awards.

Completed residency in Emergency Medicine in 2008 from Northshore Manhasset, and an Ultrasound fellowship in 2009 from New York Hospital Queens. Moved to Texas in 2015 with my 3 wonderful children. We enjoy family time doing pretty much anything from trying new foods, escape rooms, and being outdoors.

Interested in all aspects of delivering care in a large busy emergency department. I have been on the hospital's Sepsis Committee since 2015, educating clinicians on sepsis care in conjunction with national quality measures. I teach our ECG monthly lectures with current interpretations.
