This is a popular course that can introduce parents to the basics of breastfeeding. Lead by one of our Mother/Baby RN's, the program assists expectant couples in understanding the information and techniques that will enable them to be successful at breastfeeding. The Woman's Hospital of Texas
The Life with Baby Class covers what to expect in the immediate postpartum phase in the hospital, as well as in the early days at home with your newborn. This class will include ways of calming a fussy baby, bathing, diapering, the basics of feeding your baby, and more.<br><br>We are unable to accommodate children.<br>
HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast
Prepare for labor, delivery, and beyond with this focused, one-day childbirth class offered at HCA Southeast. Taught by experienced registered nurses, this one-day course provides evidence-based information in a supportive hospital setting to help you feel more confident and ready for birth. What you'll learn:<br><br>1. The stages of labor and what to expect<br>2. Breathing, relaxation, and comfort techniques<br>3. Pain management options, including epidurals and natural methods<br>4. The role of your support person during labor<br>5. Common hospital procedures and interventions<br>6. Basics of cesarean birth<br>7. Early postpartum care and newborn essentials<br><br>This class is ideal for busy parents-to-be who are between 26 and 32 weeks pregnant and want a comprehensive overview in a single day. There will be time for Q&A, hands-on practice, and a brief tour of the labor and delivery unit.<br><br>Class length includes an hour for lunch on your own.
