David S. Wagner, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer

David S. Wagner, FACHE joined HCA's Pearland Medical Center (now HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland) as its Chief Executive Officer in August 2016. David has more than 30 years of healthcare experience and has most recently served on the executive team at Saint Francis Health System located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

While in the role of Vice President, Wagner had corporate responsibility for Home Care services, facilities, construction and support services departments. While serving Saint Francis Health System, Wagner's leadership contributed to the construction of a $206-million building/tower addition representing 150 inpatient beds, new Emergency department, hospital lobby, Chapel and Convent totaling approximately 500,000 square feet of new space to the 1,112-bed flagship Saint Francis Hospital.

Prior to joining Saint Francis Heath System, Wagner served as the Vice-President at Christus Spohn Health System and Administrator for Christus Spohn Hospital, Beeville located in Beeville, Texas. Wagner also held senior management positions at Good Shepherd Medical Center, Longview, Texas and Presbyterian Health System located in Dallas, Texas.

Wagner's community involvement includes his participation in the National and Southeast Texas chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, where he has achieved the credential of Fellow in this professional organization. Wagner also serves as a board member of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Brazoria County Education Alliance. Wagner is frequently a guest speaker at the Texas Women's University, Houston, and the School of Public Health, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston for the graduate studies programs in healthcare administration.

Wagner earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and his Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas. David and his wife, Karen are proud parents of two children, Jackson and McKenna.

Sylvia Godnich, Chief Nursing Officer

Sylvia Godinich has served as Chief Nursing Officer at Pearland Medical Center n/k/a HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland since February 2017. Sylvia started her nursing career as a labor and delivery and ICU nurse at UTMB Galveston in 1991. She joined HCA in 1997 as the Director of Women's Services at Mainland Medical Center.

While at Mainland, she added Director of Post Op Services to her position before her promotion to Assistant Administrator of Nursing Services. In 2009, Sylvia became the Director of Labor and Delivery at The Woman's Hospital of Texas. In 2012, she was promoted to Associate Chief Nursing Officer and was chosen as a Gulf Coast Division representative in the 2017 cohort for the Executive Development Program. Sylvia holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration, a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and a three-year Diploma in Nursing.

She is member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Organization of Nurse, American Nurses Association, and Texas Nurses Association.

Sylvia grew up in British Columbia, Canada but has called Texas her home for the past 27 years.

Brandon Frazier, Assistant Chief Financial Officer

Brandon Frazier joined the senior leadership team at HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland in December 2018 as the Assistant Chief Finance Officer. He came from Universal Health Services where he joined UHS-Brentwood Behavioral Health in 2015 as the Chief Finance Officer in training. In 2016, he transitioned to UHS-River Oaks Hospital and became the Chief Finance Officer.

Brandon attended the University of Southern Mississippi and received his Bachelors of Accounting. He went on to receive a Masters of Business Administration at Belhaven University. Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

Vivian Nkansah, MSN, RN, Assistant Chief Nursing Officer

Vivian Nkansah joined HCA in 1997, two years after graduating from nursing school in Canada. She started her nursing career with HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland where she spent the next seventeen years working in a variety of areas from a floor nurse on Progressive Care, ICU and Cath Lab to a manager, and a director role overseeing the cardiovascular program, surgical services, dialysis and ambulatory services.

Under her leadership HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland expanded the Cath Lab to two labs, implemented a Stemi program and achieved a Chest Pain Accreditation. Prior to joining HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland, she was the service line director for cardiovascular services at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood, where she helped with the growth of the EP program and cath lab procedures in 2013.

Vivian joined HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland in 2014 and helped opened up a brand new hospital in 2015 where she served as a director for all inpatient nursing and the cath lab. She hired and onboarded more than 50 employees and developed and implemented more than 200 policies and procedures, as well as inpatient nursing processes.

In Vivian's current role, she is responsible for all surgical services including outpatient surgeries, endoscopy, cath lab, Chest Pain Accreditation, nursing supervisors and programs such as peer review and patient through put.

Vivian has been married for 33 years. She has three children and a granddaughter. Her spare time is usually spent with her granddaughter, gardening or volunteering at church.

Kevin Fuller, Chairman of the Board

Kevin Fuller began his career in public accounting and spent more than a decade in corporate finance managing the assets and investments of public and private institutions and corporations. Having had a successful career in corporate finance, Mr. Fuller decided he could find more satisfaction by helping others, so he began a career as a financial advisor, working with individuals and families as well as small business and their owners. He and his family are deeply rooted in the Pearland community. He believes in getting involved and giving back to the local community.

Mr. Fuller completed the Leadership Pearland program though the Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the boards of the Rotary Club of the 288 Corridor, the Vic Coppinger YMCA, the Northern Brazoria County Education Alliance, and he is a founding board member of the Pearland ISD Education Foundation. He is a member of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce, where he serves on its executive board as the Director of Community Development. He earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of Houston Clear Lake.

Krishali Hoffman, D.O., Vice Chair of Board of Trustees

Dr. Hoffman is Board Certified in Family Medicine with over 12 years of experience treating pediatric and adult patients. She established and built a new practice in December, 2011 known as Shadow Creek Family Physicians, PA. She is committed to providing quality medical care services to families and individuals in the Pearland and Shadow Creek area. Dr. Hoffman received her BS in Biologic Sciences from University of Houston, University Park, and graduated Cum Laude in May 1991. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Center in Fort Worth, Texas in June 1996 and then completed her Family Practice Residency Program in June 1999 from Christus St. Joseph Hospital, Allopathic.

Dr. Hoffman is a member of the Clerkship Teaching Faculty at Baylor College of Medicine and is an active member of American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association/Brazoria County Medical and the Pearland Chamber of Commerce.

James Hammond, M.D., Chief of Staff

Dr. James Hammond currently serves as Chief of Staff of HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland. He received his education at the University of North Texas and Baylor College of Medicine, graduating with a BA in Biology & Chemistry in 2000. He completed his training at Baylor College of Medicine receiving his Doctorate in Diagnostic Radiology in 2005. Dr. Hammond is Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology. He is currently employed by West Houston Radiology Associates, LLP (Radiology Partners Gulf Coast), where he serves as the President and Chairman of the Board. He is a member of the American Board of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Texas State Medical Association.

Rushi Patel, CPA

Rushi Patel is an active leader in the growth of the Pearland area. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Pearland Economic Development Corporation, as the Vice President of the Pearland Municipal Management District No. 2 and as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In the past, he has also served as the President of the Pearland Adult Reading Center and Secretary/Treasurer for the Pearland Chamber of Commerce. For more than a decade, Mr. Patel has been the Vice President of Operations and Finance at Omkar Enterprises Management. Previously he worked with PriceWaterhouseCoopers as an Audit and Tax Associate.

He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his Masters of Taxation from the University of South Carolina.

Richard Johnigan, M.D.

Dr. Johnigan attended The University of Notre Dame in Indiana where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and had a second major in Theology. He returned to Texas and completed medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he graduated with highest honors. He then pursued his residency training at the University of Texas, Houston, where he trained at Memorial-Hermann Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, LBJ General Hospital, and St. Joseph's Hospital.

After completing his residency, Dr. Johnigan joined Texas Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists, P.A. in 2007 and began a practice in Pearland, Texas. He also works at their Clear Lake Location. Dr. Johnigan primarily works at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake and the new HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland facilities.

He and his wife live in Pearland. His wife, Brie, is very active in the Pearland community.

Patrick Koons, M.D.

Dr. Koons is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and Managing Member of Guardian Anesthesia Services. He joined the staff of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in 2006 and has been the Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology since 2009. He completed a Critical Care Fellowship and his Anesthesiology Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He was awarded his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Koons received his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Pat and his wife, Shay, have two daughters and reside in Friendswood.

Troy Villarreal, President, HCA Gulf Coast Division

Troy A. Villarreal joined HCA Healthcare as President in June 2016 from Medical City Dallas Hospital, where he had been chief executive officer since October 2013. Before that, he was the chief executive officer at The Medical Center of Plano for five years.

Villarreal has a strong history of community service. He is a graduate of Leadership Plano Class 27 and formerly served on the executive committee board, strategic planning committee and alumni committee of Leadership Plano. He also has served on the board of the Plano Chamber of Commerce as campaign cabinet chair for Collin County and as a member of the advisory board of the United Way of Greater Dallas.

Villarreal currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Houston Partnership, on the Advisory Board of the University of Houston, Clear Lake, on the Regional Policy Board of the American Hospital Association, and as a Board of Trustee for the Texas Hospital Association. Villarreal earned his bachelor's degree in psychology at Texas A&M University and master's degrees in health care administration and business administration at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Villarreal and his wife Coleen have four children: Carson, Jaxson, Hailey, and Greyson.
