David S. Wagner, FACHE
Chief executive officer
David S. Wagner, FACHE, is the Chief Executive Officer at HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland. He has more than 30 years of healthcare experience and most recently served as vice president of facilities management and support services at Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During his tenure at Saint Francis Health System, Wagner managed a $206-million hospital expansion, which included a new tower, emergency department, lobby, chapel and convent.
Wagner also served as vice president at CHRISTUS Spohn Health System and administrator for CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Beeville. He also held senior management positions at CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Health System in Longview, Texas, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.
He is active in his community serving as a board member for the American College of Healthcare Executive - Southeast Texas Chapter, Pearland Chamber of Commerce and Northern Brazoria County Education Alliance. Wagner is frequently a guest speaker at Texas Woman’s University and UTHealth School of Public Health.
Wagner earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University and a master's of science in healthcare administration at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
Jeanette Pennick, MSN, RN-BC, CMSRN, NE-BC, NEA-BC
Chief nursing officer
Jeanette Pennick was appointed chief nursing officer (CNO) at HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland in January 2022. In this role, she will provide oversight of patient care, clinical initiatives, nursing operations and nurse leader development.
Pennick began her nursing career in Canada where she was born and raised. She joined HCA Houston Pearland in 2017 as the director of emergency services. In 2018 and 2019, her team was named HCA Healthcare Unit of Distinction honorees. She was also selected as director of the year in 2019 and was instrumental in the hospital achieving its Level IV trauma designation, primary stroke and chest pain center accreditations.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta and her Master of Nursing Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
