Outpatient mental health care

Outpatient mental health care refers to intensive behavioral health services that do not require an overnight hospital stay. Outpatient care offers the benefits of psychological treatment while also allowing you to return home each day.

Types of mental health care

We are dedicated to meeting your mental health care needs. Our programs are all group therapy-based and focus on skill-building. Patients receiving this level of care are healthy and stable enough to return home each day after treatment.

We provide a wide range of services to help you heal, including:

  • Cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy
  • Interpersonal effectiveness skills building
  • Life-skills training
  • Medication management if needed
  • Psychiatrist evaluation
  • Structured group therapy with a licensed clinician

Intensive outpatient program (IOP)

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides treatment to patients who are experiencing symptoms that need greater intervention than individual therapy alone. Often, this program is used as a step up from traditional therapy or a step down from a higher level of care such as with a partial hospitalization program.

Patients enrolled in IOP are typically required to attend group therapy for three hours a day, three days per week. Sessions include cognitive behavioral therapy, stress reductions skills training and other coping skills and methods to achieve personal goals.

Partial hospitalization program (PHP)

Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers a higher level of outpatient care and guided support. It is ideal for those who are at risk for psychiatric hospitalization or for those who have recently been hospitalized and need continued daily access to safe, structured treatment and services.

PHP requires patients to attend group therapy for six hours a day, five days per week. All participants will learn recovery and coping skills through cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed therapies, psychoeducation and other skills training. Throughout this program, patients are monitored by a team of doctors, nurses and therapists while undergoing treatment.
