Physical therapy and rehabilitation in Tomball, Texas

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball offers advanced rehabilitation services for patients of all ages who are experiencing or recovering from an injury, surgery or health condition. We provide an inpatient physical therapy (PT) and rehabilitation program, as well as an outpatient program through Texas Sports Medicine Center.

Rehabilitation services

Our physical therapy and rehab center is staffed with expert physical therapists and equipped with advanced equipment to facilitate quality reconditioning in an optimal amount of time—from cardiac rehabilitation to stroke rehabilitation. We also provide easy access to occupational therapists, if needed.

Inpatient rehabilitation

Inpatient rehabilitation is a comprehensive, hospital-based physical and cognitive rehabilitation program dedicated exclusively to treating individuals who have experienced a disabling injury or illness.

Our inpatient rehab program is designed to help patients with diagnoses including, but not limited to:

  • Stroke
  • Brain injury
  • Congenital deformity
  • Major multiple trauma
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Spinal cord injury

To reach our goal of restoring patients to their full potential, the medical director works with the team of rehabilitation professionals to create a personalized plan for each patient.

Cardiac rehab

Cardiac rehabilitation is a comprehensive, medically supervised program designed to assist patients in regaining their physical capacity and improving their confidence in the ability to return to a full and productive life following a cardiac event.

The inpatient rehabilitation unit accepts referrals from physicians, social workers, rehabilitation nurses, counselors, patients and their families. Candidates for admission will receive a pre-admission screening without charge to determine their appropriateness for the program.

The inpatient rehabilitation unit is located on the fourth floor of HCA Houston Tomball and visitors should enter through the Heart & Vascular Center lobby.

Outpatient rehabilitation

Our outpatient physical therapy program at the Texas Sports Medicine Center helps patients regain independence and restore function following a variety of conditions and surgeries, such as:

  • Ankle and foot injuries
  • Back and neck injuries
  • Knee reconstruction and surgeries
  • Shoulder surgeries and injuries
  • Sports related injuries
  • Total joint replacements
  • Workers' compensation injuries

Our outpatient program accepts patients who present a valid prescription (order) from a physician for physical therapy and whose age classification ranges from adolescent to senior adult. Outpatient physical therapy is offered on an appointment basis only.
