We accept all forms of government insurance from the U.S., Canada and other countries. We also accept MedicareMedicaidCivilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services (CHAMPUS), and workers compensation.

We respect the dignity and pride of each individual we serve. We want our patients to be informed of their rights, responsibilities, and have access to contacts for complaints and grievances.

At HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball, our goal is to ensure our patients and visitors feel welcomed, well informed and comfortable throughout their stay. We offer a wide array of support services and everyday necessities for your convenience.

For those registering for admission, our admission/registration desk is located at Entrance C in Outpatient Testing. Please remember to bring the following items with you to the hospital:

  • All current health insurance information, including your insurance card
  • Photo ID
  • Physician orders or prescriptions for any tests you will receive
  • Referrals from your primary care physician (if your insurer requires them)
  • Payment method for deductibles and co-payments (financing is also available)
  • Your advance directive, if you have one
  • Completed patient information and medication list

Hospital information for patients

HCA Houston Tomball provides many convenient amenities to our patients and visitors. If you have trouble finding any of these services, please feel free to ask one of our staff members for assistance.

Internet access

Free guest Wi-Fi is available in patient rooms and throughout the hospital.

Interpretation services

If you are limited English proficient and need help communicating with your doctors and nurses, please ask a hospital staff member for a medical interpreter. Sign language interpreters are available for the hearing impaired.

Mail

Mail addressed to patient rooms will be delivered upon arrival. If the hospital receives your mail after you are discharged, it will be returned to the sender.

Pastoral services

For those in need of meditation, prayer or solitude, our chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital, near the Heart Center, and is available 24/7. For patients and families in need of a deeper spiritual counseling, we also provide 24/7 on-call chaplain services to help cope with significant grief, a drastic health condition change, or end of life preparedness. To request a chaplain visit, please speak with your nursing staff or case management team.

Patient rooms

Patient rooms are private and include a TV, telephone, personal desk, vanity counter, private restroom, and closet. Window seats convert to beds for overnight guests. VIP suites include additional square footage and a separate living area.

Courtesy telephones for patients and visitors are provided throughout the hospital.

Food and nutrition services

Cafeteria

Patients and guests can get a hot, healthy meal, snack, or cold beverage in our cafeteria located on the first floor of the hospital. The cafeteria is open daily from 6:30am to 7:30pm. Hot food options are available Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 2:00pm.

Patient meals

Our dining associates will take menu selections prior to the meal periods to ensure patients have the ability to choose their menu options. If you are admitted in between meals you have the ability to call our diet office at (281) 401-7663 to make selections or to speak with our staff about your specific needs.

Delivery hours:

  • Breakfast: 7:30am to 9:00am
  • Lunch: 11:30am to 1:00pm
  • Dinner: 4:30pm to 6:00pm

The House Supervisor may assist with any dietary requests beyond these hours. Guests of our patients can request a guest tray for $8.50 payable in the retail café and will be delivered along with the patient meal.

Vending

Vending machines carrying a variety of snacks and Pepsi products are located in multiple areas on the patient floors and are available 24 hours a day.
