HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland proudly celebrated 10-years of providing care to the community. In a decade of service, HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland has received numerous accolades for consistently delivering superior patient outcomes in critical service areas along with providing 24/7 emergency care as a Level IV trauma center, a designated primary stroke center, and an accredited chest pain center, all complemented by also serving as the southern base for AirLife, HCA Houston Healthcare’s air ambulance service. Modern Healthcare has named HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland as a Best Place to Work by Modern Healthcare for 3 consecutive years.
The original Pearland Medical Center opened its doors on February 3, 2015, in one of the fastest growing communities in the Houston area. What began as a 33-bed hospital in 2015, with approximately 250 colleagues has grown into a 144,000 square-foot comprehensive, state-of-the-art acute care medical center employing over 500 colleagues, and offering specialty services to serve the still growing community. The hospital was renamed HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland in February 2019 to better reflect the comprehensive network of care facilities as part of the leading provider of healthcare services in the country. The hospital’s leadership, clinical expertise, and unwavering dedication to the community have established HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland as a top provider of healthcare.
“HCA Healthcare co-founder Dr. Thomas Frist often said, “Bricks and mortar don’t make a hospital – people do,” said Elias Armendariz, CEO of HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland. “And true to Dr. Frist’s words, today we celebrated a milestone in our hospital’s history because of people, both inside and out – 10 years of positively impacting the health and wellness of Pearland and the surrounding communities.”
