Our first-rate care includes providing potential heart attack or stroke patients quick access to board-certified emergency room doctors who are trained to treat their condition.
Each emergency department treatment room is equipped with modern cardiac and invasive monitoring systems. For potential heart attack victims, our ER is capable of receiving 12-lead EKGs from emergency medical service (EMS) providers while they are transporting patients to the hospital, meaning our Cardiac Catheterization Lab and surgical teams will be alerted and ready upon your arrival. Our Cardiac Catheterization Lab includes:
- A digital cath lab

- Operating rooms for open heart and vascular surgery
- Surgical teams ready and available 24/7 to bypass the ER and provide critical time-saving treatment.

The Stroke Center at HCA Houston North Cypress is a part of our 24-hour emergency care facility on our main campus location. Our neurologists and neurosurgery specialists work with our emergency room doctors to quickly diagnose and treat patients who come in with stroke symptoms. Our specialists use the latest medical therapies including thrombolysis, clot-busting medications, to treat stroke patients. Our 20-bed ICU is also trained to provide critical care following the initial treatment of life threatening illnesses such as stroke.
