At HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, we provide comprehensive and individualized physical therapy and rehabilitation services for patients recovering from a cerebrovascular accident (stroke), illness, injury or surgical procedure.
Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to working with you every step of your recovery and may include certified rehabilitation registered nurses, licensed dieticians, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language therapists, wound care specialists and board-certified neurologists and internists.
We have an Inpatient Rehabilitation Center equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and services, including:
- Gym and exercise area, as well as a training kitchen and bathroom
- 24/7 access to supplementary care, including imaging, dialysis and a pharmacy
- Access to in-house diabetic and ostomy education services

Clear Lake physical therapy and rehabilitation services
At HCA Houston Clear Lake, our goal is to help each patient function as independently as possible through specialized treatment programs and services. Our rehabilitation experts provide specialized care for:
- Arthritis
- Bladder and bowel dysfunction

- Heart attack and other forms of heart disease
- Incontinence
- Neuromuscular diseases, such as Lou Gehrig's disease, muscular dystrophy and myasthenia gravis

Therapy sessions are one-on-one, and each patient has an individualized program designed to improve daily quality of life, strengthen and tone muscles, reduce pain, restore function and prevent disability.
Patients may be referred to our Inpatient Rehabilitation Center by a care professional. To qualify for inpatient rehabilitation, a patient must have a qualifying diagnosis requiring 24-hour nursing care, must be medically stable, have the potential for improved function and/or mobility, be able to tolerate at least three hours of intense therapy each day and have the need for a coordinated intensive therapy program with two or more skilled rehabilitation therapies.
