Using a multidisciplinary approach, we provide coordinated and personalized rehabilitation for those diagnosed with various types of cancer, including breast cancer, head and neck cancer, and brain and nervous system cancer.

Additionally, we provide lymphedema management to address swelling due to blocked lymph channels. Our program is based on the latest in complex decongestive therapy and combines a variety of treatment methods to reduce swelling and other symptoms of lymphedema, including manual lymph drainage, compression therapy and exercise.

Neurological rehabilitation

Stroke (cerebrovascular accident) and other neurological diseases can have a significant impact on one's ability to speak, move, swallow or preform daily activities. At HCA Houston North Cypress, we use a combination of treatments and approaches to improve function and maximize recovery. This includes supported gait therapy and computerized balance systems to help patients prevent falls and improve independence, as well as advanced assessment tests to identify swallowing difficulties.

We care for patients recovering from or living with a wide range of injuries, disorders and diseases of the brain and nervous system, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis.

Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including anti-gravity treadmills to allow weight bearing activity with decreased pressure. Advanced technology allows us to pinpoint deficits to improve performance and maximize recovery. Our main campus location features an aquatic therapy pool which utilizes water to promote rehabilitation and healing by using buoyancy, compression and resistance for a comfortable, low impact approach to rehabilitation.

Vestibular and balance rehabilitation

Our vestibular rehabilitation program is an exercise-based approach to reducing dizziness and balance difficulties associated with inner ear problems. We care for patients with a wide variety of balance problems and disorders, including concussion, Meniere's disease, positional vertigo (BPPV), presbyastasis (dizziness associated with age) and tinnitus.
