Wound treatment center

An estimated five million people in the U.S. suffer from chronic wounds caused by diabetes, vascular disorders, traumatic injuries, pressure ulcers and other conditions that slow down the body’s healing process.

At HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, we realize that healing wounds is a complex process involving thorough assessment, diagnosis and appropriate treatment that will achieve optimum results.

Physicians, surgeons, podiatrists and other specialists at our Wound Treatment Center collaborate to treat wounds, including diabetic wounds of the lower extremity (DWLE). Additional indications for advanced wound care include:

  • Venous stasis ulcers
  • Arterial ulcers
  • Vasculitic ulcers
  • Non-healing surgical wounds
  • Complex soft-tissue wounds
