For more than 15 years, the Advanced Wound Treatment Center at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake has proudly served the Houston Bay Area by providing relief to patients with chronic, hard-to-heal wounds and skin complications due to an ostomy.
Our team is led by board-certified physicians who specialize in wound care, internal medicine, infectious disease, vascular care and podiatry. Our registered nurses are certified in advanced wound care and ostomy management. Together, they collaborate to assess, diagnose and provide a specialized, comprehensive treatment plan for each patient's wound.
Clear Lake wound and ostomy care services
Wound healing is a complicated process and can require treatment at a wound care center if they do not heal. Chronic wounds that are left untreated may cause complications such as increased risk of infection, hospitalization or the tissue to become gangrene, or die due to lack of blood supply.
Our goal at the Advanced Wound Treatment Center is to restore each patient's quality of life through accelerated healing and comprehensive care. We specialize in treating patients with the following injuries:
- Arterial and vasculitic ulcers
- Atypical wounds
- Diabetic wounds of the lower extremity
- Fistulas
- Infected wounds
- Minor burns
- Non-healing surgical wounds
- Pressure ulcers
- Spider bites
- Traumatic injuries
- Venous leg ulcers
We have developed a tailored approach that focuses on rapid healing while exploring the underlying causes of delayed recovery. We combine compassionate care with the latest technologies to restore each patient's quality of life. Some of the advanced treatment options we offer includes:
- Advanced and conventional wound dressings
- Cellular (biological) tissue products
- Compression therapy
- Negative pressure wound therapy
- Offloading, including total contact casting
