New construction to elevate patient care and support long-term growth

Cypress, TX - HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is excited to announce the construction of a state-of-the-art, $100 million patient tower. Construction on this project began in July and is anticipated to conclude in the Spring of 2026.

The new patient tower will feature several key additions, including an expanded Central Sterile Processing Department (CSPD), a 22- bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit and a 31-bed Medical Surgical Unit. This tower may be expanded further in the future to address the hospital’s long-range growth.

The 22-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit will offer specialized care for patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or illnesses. This unit will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to help patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Additionally, the new 31-bed Medical Surgical Unit will provide a comfortable and healing environment for patients requiring medical and surgical care. This additional capacity allows for further expansion of the hospital’s critical care services within the original hospital.

To accommodate the increased capacity, HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress will also be expanding its parking facilities. This will ensure that patients, visitors, and staff have convenient and accessible parking options.

“We are thrilled to announce the construction of our new patient tower,” said Jim Brown, chief executive officer at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress. “With 18 years of service to the Cypress area, we are excited to expand to continue to meet the healthcare needs of this rapidly growing community.”

HCA Healthcare is one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare and is comprised of 184 hospitals, including HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress.
