Supporting this team is an impressive board of trustees that includes highly respected physician and community business leaders. Our board of trustees helps evaluate the hospital's delivery of healthcare and helps develop new programs that ensure our patients receive the most advanced, cost-effective healthcare close to home. This is a combined board between both HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast and East Houston Regional Medical Center.

Jeanna Bamburg, FACHE, CEO, HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast
Jeanna Bamburg, CEO, has been a member of the HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast and East Houston Regional Medical Center team for 20 years. Prior to working with HCA, Bamburg worked for other healthcare organizations and brings over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Over these years, she has acquired a strong knowledge of Southeast Harris County and is happy to have collaborative relationships with medical staff and employees as well as key community leaders and stakeholders.
Jeanna received her Bachelor’s Degree and MBA from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. She has achieved the level of Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as President for the Southeast Texas Chapter. She is also a 2015 graduate of the Texas Hospital Association Leadership Fellows Class.
Jeanna has a strong history of community service. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Pasadena Rotary Club and a member of the Board of Directors for the San Jacinto College Foundation.
Jeanna and her husband, Wesley, have two teen children.
Sathish Cayenne, M.D.
Dr. Sathish Cayenne is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. He completed his residency and fellowship at the Nassau University Medical Center Program in East Meadows, New York. Dr. Cayenne has served in various leadership roles at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast since 2003 and is currently Chief of Staff at the HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast campus. He is married and has two children. Dr. Cayenne enjoys sporting activities and travelling when time permits.
Rajpaul Ganesh, D.O.
Dr. Rajpaul Ganesh is board certified in anesthesiology. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Ganesh has been in practice since 2007 and joined the HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast medical staff the same year. He is currently the President of Beltway Anesthesia, Medical Director of the Sugar Land Surgery Center and Assistant Medical Director of the Southwest Surgery Center.
Rick J. Guerrero
Rick Guerrero was born in Brownsville, Texas in 1961 and has been a Pasadena area resident for about 30 years. Rick Guerrero graduated from Homer Hanna High School and attended The University of Texas at Brownsville before relocating to the Pasadena area in 1983. Rick married Maria Rodriguez in 2001 and together have a blended family of two sons and two daughters.
Working with people and helping small and large business owners has been a lifelong career for Rick. Beginning with over 25 years of experience in upper management, he was awarded the Outstanding Performance Award in 1993 and Manager of the Year in 2000.
As president of ARG Real Estate, LLC, he is active in both professional and civic organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Pasadena Kiwanis Club, Board of Trustees of HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, Vice Chairman of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Sarah’s House, Chairman of San Jacinto YMCA and Past Chairman of the Pasadena Hispanic Business Council. He is also a board member of the Pasadena ISD Education Foundation and an Ex-Officio of the Pasadena Live Stock Show & Rodeo.
Carlos R. Jessurun, M.D.
Dr. Carlos Jessurun is board certified in cardiovascular diseases. He completed his residency and fellowship training at the Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals and the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas. Dr. Jessurun has been in private practice since 1997 and has served in various leadership roles at East Houston Regional Medical Center including Chief of Staff in 2007-2008 and again in 2017-2018.
Janice Lawler is a certified public accountant with expertise in business recruitment, start-ups and expansions. She also brings extensive experience in communications, government relations and economic development. Her leadership on community boards and foundations ranges from education to social assistance. In 2009 Jan was recognized as a Women of Distinction by the Bridge over Troubled Waters, a non-profit that assists women and families in crisis. Jan has been a resident of La Porte for more than 30 years where she lives with her husband, Hal. They have two adult children. She enjoys reading, golf and sailing.
Josie is the founder of New Dimensions Home Healthcare Plus, Inc. in Pasadena, Texas. After working in the legal field for almost 20 years, Josie made a career change to enter the home healthcare field in 1998. Josie’s strong work ethic, commitment and dedication to serve the seniors in Pasadena and surrounding communities has helped to create one of the largest bi-lingual home healthcare agencies in Southeast Harris County. With a staff of over 500 employees, the agency now serves hundreds of clients daily.
Josie believes that all business owners have a responsibility to give back to the communities in order to improve the quality of life and to ensure a better future for our children. That commitment is reflected in her community involvement. Josie’s agency received the Texas Governor’s Small Business Champion Award in 2013. She also received the 2013 Entre Leadership National Momentum Award from Dave Ramsey for exceptional leadership.

Josie has three grown children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, reading, traveling and trying out new recipes.
Dixie Melillo, MD, FACS
Dr. Melillo has been in practice since 1983 and is board certified in general surgery. She has served as Department Chair of the Department of Surgery at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. She also launched a multidisciplinary breast cancer review board that continues to this day.
As the second female to complete a surgical residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, Dr. Melillo opened the door for other females aspiring to be surgeons. Her personal story encourages people to look beyond perceived barriers and circumstances. The passion and love for her patients give her a fierce sense of maintaining every person’s dignity.
In 1986, Dr. Melillo established a non-profit organization for breast cancer education, screening, diagnosis and support called the Rose, making no distinction between paying and non-paying patients. This organization has served more than 400,000 patients to date. As a respected and renowned leader in the field, her testimony to the Texas Legislature and the U.S. Senate in the 1980’s was instrumental in convincing Medicare and private insurance companies to cover mammography. She is also one of the first surgeons in the nation to be approved and certified to interpret mammograms and perform ultrasound-guided core and stereotactic breast biopsies.
Dr. Ronald R. Nino, MD
Dr. Ronald R. Nino is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Physicians. He completed his residency at the Memorial Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. He has been in private practice since 1986 and has served in various leadership roles at East Houston Regional Medical Center including:
- The Credentials Committee
- The Peer Review Committee
- Chairman of the Family Medicine Department
- Chairman of the Board of Trustees in 1996-97
Dr. Nino was selected as the Distinguished Alumnus for University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1999 and chosen as the Physician of the Year for the state of Texas by the Texas Academy of Family Physicians in 2001. He is a member of the Rotary Club of North Shore and was named Rotarian of the year in 1993.
Dr. Nino enjoys playing tennis, golf, bowling, boating, fishing and SCUBA diving. He does ballroom dancing and enjoys traveling when time permits.
The Honorable Mike Parrott
Judge Mike Parrott was born and raised in Galena Park, Texas and attended Galena Park High School and the University of Houston. He is a member of the Holy Trinity Methodist Church. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Deby. They have two children and three grandchildren.
Judge Parrott worked for the Precinct Two Harris County Commissioner for 18 years as the Superintendent of Parks prior to his election. He was elected Harris County Justice of the Peace Court, Precinct 3, Place 1 on January 1, 1993. He now presides over the 4th largest JP court in Harris County. He is very active with the youth in our community and believes that motivating students to learn is the key to their future. In 1993, he kept his campaign promise and implemented a Teen Court Program for area students. He is still committed to this program and now has students participating from North Shore High School, Humble High School, Channelview High School, Forest Brook High School and C.E. King High School. He is proud to say that five members of his Teen Court have gone on to become attorneys working for the District Attorney’s office and private firms.
Helping people and small business owners has been a lifelong career for Beckie Stockstill-Cobb. Beginning with 20 years in the banking industry, she then changed directions to Stockstill & Associates Insurance Agency in 1999. Her agency specializes in health, life, dental, long-term care and disability benefits, as well as IRA's and retirement plans for groups and individuals. She is a licensed Health and Life agent, has Certified Benefit Consultant and Senior Benefit Specialist designations, holds a Series 6 Security License and is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters.
Mrs. Stockstill has been active in the Deer Park community for over 25 years. Her involvement with the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce includes serving on the Board of Directors twice, being part of the Ambassadors for over 20 years and has chaired numerous committees. She is also an active member of the Deer Park Rotary, Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Pasadena HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast Board of Trustees.
Mrs. Stockstill is presently serving her third term as Councilmember, Position 5, for the city of Deer Park, which is very dear to her heart. She has chaired the Economic Development committee, currently chairs the Historic/Tourism committee for the city, serves on the Revitalization committee and is active in County, State and National associations for municipal government. Mrs. Stockstill is diligently seeking to make sure that growth and change has a positive outcome in her city.
Mrs. Stockstil is married to Johnny Cobb. Their family includes four daughters and two granddaughters.
Nelda Sullivan and her family have been residents of Pasadena since 1958. Since moving to the area, she has been active in numerous community, civic and service projects. A retired banker, (Bank of America) she served in an executive capacity for over thirty-five years. She was elected to the Board of Trustees for Pasadena Independent School District in 1993 and has been re-elected to consecutive terms since that time. She has held numerous positions on the board and will be the first to acknowledge that she is delighted to be a part of the 11th largest school district in Texas and to be a part of the great things happening in public education.
Nelda is Past President of the Board of Trustees for HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast and presently serves as a sitting board member. Her involvement in civic and community activities includes leadership in the South Pasadena Rotary Club, Soroptimist International of Pasadena, Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, The American Heart Association, the Pasadena Police Academy Advisory Board, The Pasadena Philharmonic Society, a volunteer for Bay Scouts of America (all three grandsons are Eagle Scouts), Pasadena-Hadano, Japan sister City Association, serving as a Host Family on numerous occasions. She is a graduate of the Pasadena Citizens Police Academy. A member of Sunset United Methodist Church.
The Houston Federation of Business Women has honored Sullivan as the Citizen of the Year by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and as a Woman of Excellence. She was also awarded a congressional certificate by the 29tti Congressional District of the United States House of Representatives and by the City of Pasadena for outstanding community service. She was named Volunteer of the Year by the American Heart Association. Additionally, she is a Paul Harris Fellow.
Honored by the school district, a new middle school, located at 1212 Queens Road, in Pasadena was named the Nelda Sullivan Middleschool. The formal dedication of this facility took place December 6, 2016. This school serves 790 students in fifth and sixth grades.
Even with the honors and accolades, family takes top priority in Nelda's life. She is a widow, mother of three children, grandmother to seven and great grandmother to 14.
Hobbies Include quilting, gardening and reading.
Troy A. Villarreal, President, HCA Gulf Coast Division
Troy A. Villarreal joined HCA Gulf Coast Division as President in June 2016 from Medical City Dallas Hospital, where he had been chief executive officer since October 2013. Before that, he was the chief executive officer at The Medical Center of Plano for five years.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Texas A&M University and master’s degrees in healthcare administration and business administration at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Villarreal has a strong history of community service. He is a graduate of Leadership Plano Class 27 and formerly served on the executive committee board, strategic planning committee and alumni committee of Leadership Plano. He also has served on the board of the Plano Chamber of Commerce as campaign cabinet chair for Collin County and as a member of the advisory board of the United Way of Greater Dallas.
Since joining HCA in 1993, Villarreal has been responsible for major facility upgrades, significant growth and increased patient, physician and employee satisfaction at a variety of HCA hospitals.
