Types of care we offer
Our neurosciences departments collaborate with orthopedic specialists to deliver advanced spine care treatment for neck and back pain, as well as injuries related to the spine. They offer both surgical and non-surgical care, including spine surgery, epidural injections, nerve blocks and lumbar herniated disc and/or cervical disc replacement.
For advanced surgical intervention, we utilize a leading-edge robotic visualization system. The system's surgical microscope enables our neurosurgeons to discover unexplored areas and to gain greater insights about your condition, leading to better clinical decisions and treatment plans. Using such advanced techniques, we provide various types of care, such as:
- Emergency stroke care – Strokes are one of the most time-sensitive conditions in modern medicine. Rapid diagnosis and treatment are crucial to saving a life. At our Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, highly-trained stroke team members will rapidly assess you. We also offer transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) for treating carotid artery disease and preventing future strokes. If you have a history of being a high risk for traditional surgery, TCAR is a safe and effective alternative. TCAR brings about shorter recovery times, and you may even be able to return home the next day to resume regular activity.
- Neurological rehabilitation – If you have suffered a neurological event, we provide both inpatient and outpatient speech, physical and occupational therapy. Our program helps you recover function and strength that may have been impacted by spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular diseases, strokes, brain injuries and other neurological conditions.
- Neurosurgical services – We are committed to innovative technology that enhances the care you receive, including minimally invasive and robot-assisted neurosurgery. Depending on your condition, our board-certified neurosurgeons are specially trained to perform surgical procedures for conditions ranging from nerve pain to cancer.
