Diagnostics and treatments we offer
Lung diseases are disorders or infections of the lungs that can make it difficult for your body to get the oxygen it needs to survive. In recognition of our commitment to expertly caring for these conditions, we have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a high-performing hospital for COPD. COPD is the third leading cause of death in the U.S., and a major worldwide disability. Our respiratory therapists offer a wide range of screenings and diagnostic exams to assess pulmonary conditions, such as COPD. Some of the tests we offer include:
- Body plethysmography
- Lung diffusion testing
- Pulmonary function test
- Sleep study
To reduce symptoms and restore independent function, we offer pulmonary rehabilitation, which is a supervised education and exercise program designed to help you manage your chronic lung disease. The program is monitored and personalized to meet your individual needs, and may include an assessment, education on your disease, appropriate exercises, nutritional recommendations and psychosocial support. A physician referral is required for pulmonary rehabilitation.
