At HCA Houston Healthcare West, we are committed to making your experience with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Our services and amenities aim to take care of the physical and emotional needs of our patients and provide access to everyday necessities for our visitors.

Online Registration

We know your time is valuable. That’s why we offer convenient online registration for services such as surgical procedures, mammograms, and diagnostic tests and treatments.

Participating insurance plans

We accept all forms of government insurance from the U.S., Canada and other countries. We also accept Medicare, Medicaid, Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services (CHAMPUS), and workers compensation.

Advance care planning

Advance directives are legal documents that allow you to give directions for your future medical care. Advance directives help you protect your right to request or refuse care.

We respect the dignity and pride of each individual we serve. We want our patients to be informed of their rights, responsibilities, and have access to contacts for complaints and grievances.

Internet access

Free guest Wi-Fi is available in patient rooms and throughout the hospital.

Interpretation services

We provide medical interpreters at no cost to persons who are deaf, hard of hearing, or limited English proficient. More than 200 languages are offered including American Sign Language.

Mail

Mail addressed to patient rooms is delivered Monday through Friday.

Pastoral services

The Chapel is located on the main floor, across from our human resources station and visitor elevators. Clergy may visit patients at any time. Patients may also request the on-call chaplain. Pastoral care is offered in all faiths and a variety of languages. Non-denominational care is also available.

Food and nutrition services

Cafeteria

Our full-service cafeteria is open daily and located on the first floor. Cafeteria hours are:

  • Monday through Friday: 7:30am to 2:00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7:30am to 11:00pm

Café West Express

Located on the first-floor lobby, Café West Express offers a selection of snacks and coffee beverages. Hours are:

  • Monday through Friday: 6:30am to 7:00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7:00am to 4:00pm

The BEE (Being Exceptional Every Day) Award recognizes those colleagues whose work to enhance our patients’ experience is indispensable. These providers – who may be patient care techs, surgical techs, mental health techs, monitor techs, unit secretaries or others – support our clinical providers to ensure each patient receives the highest levels of medical care.
