Cardiology services in Pasadena

Equipped with the latest technology and dedicated to compassionate care—count on the heart doctors at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, right here in your own community.

We are a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center, as well as a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI and Resuscitation by the American College of Cardiology.

One of the goals of the society is to significantly reduce the mortality rate of patients who visit emergency rooms with chest pain. As an accredited chest pain center, not only have we achieved 100 percent compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid requirement of 90 minutes door-to-balloon time, we consistently beat the national average by 30 minutes. That’s because our STEMI team, cath lab team, cardiologists and surgical team are available to you 24/7.

Heart screening and imaging

We provide nuclear cardiac imaging, echocardiograms (EKG) and echo and vascular ultrasounds. Our cath lab offers diagnostic testing and therapeutic intervention for patients who are at risk of, or who have experienced, cardiac diseases or vascular diseases.

The electrophysiology lab diagnoses, pinpoints and treats problem areas related to the heart’s electrical system. Cardiac electrophysiologists use the latest, high-tech equipment, including 3D mapping, to detect complex heart-rhythm disorders.

Cardiac rehabilitation

This is a specialized, comprehensive program for patients who have heart disease, or those at risk for developing heart disease, including patients who have experienced heart attack or failure, open heart surgery or stent placement.

All sessions are EKG-monitored and supervised by professional staff with training in cardiac rehabilitation.

Heart and vascular surgery

HCA Houston Southeast is a leader in bringing “beating heart” surgical technology to Pasadena, during which a portion of the beating heart is stabilized while cardiac surgeons repair selected vessels. We perform a variety of cardiac surgeries, including:

  • Coronary artery bypass with endoscopic vein harvesting
  • Open heart surgery with ventricular assist device
  • Valve repair/replacement
  • Atrial fibrillation/arrhythmia repair
  • Deep vein thrombosis surgery (DVT)
