HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast's oncology team provides the latest cancer treatment options and compassionate care to patients in a convenient setting close to home.

We believe that one of the keys to successfully treating cancer is to catch the disease as early as possible. Annual physicals along with regular screenings are usually the best way to ensure early detection. We offer screening programs for all types of cancer including lung, breast and skin cancer.

Solis Mammography, a department of HCA Houston Southeast, brings specialized breast health screening services and diagnostic care to the Pasadena community. The breast imaging center offers patients state-of-the-art screening technology in a welcoming environment, designed to deliver a better experience to the patients we serve.

Patient care is a team effort at HCA Houston Southeast. During your treatment, you may encounter a variety of healthcare professionals including certified oncology nurses, certified chemotherapy nurses, medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, oncology nurse navigators and subspecialists. Our teams work together to develop an individualized care plan for each patient based on the type, location and stage of the disease.

Southeast Houston oncology services

Our experienced and multidisciplinary cancer team works together to treat and support patients with various types of cancer, including:

  • Brain cancer
  • Breast cancer
  • Carcinomas
  • Gastrointestinal cancer
  • Genitourinary cancer
  • Gynecologic cancer
  • Head and neck cancer
  • Lung cancer
  • Lymphomas
  • Prostate cancer
  • Sarcomas
  • Skin cancers, including melanoma

We provide the most progressive radiation oncology services in the region. Our oncology patients have access to intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), which uses advanced technology to match radiation intensity to the size and shape of the tumor. IMRT is less damaging to nearby healthy tissue and limits the side effects of treatment.

We also offer high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy, a type of internal radiation therapy that delivers highly localized doses of radiation inside or near a tumor. HDR brachytherapy patients have fewer side effects than with the conventional form of radiation therapy and the overall treatment time is usually shorter.

If you are seeking cancer treatment or need a second opinion about treatment options, we invite you to make an appointment with one of our radiation or medical oncologists.
