Sports medicine

The Sports Medicine Center at HCA Houston North Cypress works hard to keep athletes in the game and off of the sidelines. Our physicians utilize a range of advanced diagnostic tools to identify injuries and have a number of sports injury training and treatment options.

Often, sports injuries can require surgery. Luckily, our orthopedic surgeons are expertly trained and will find the best treatment option to fit each patient’s individualized needs.

Advanced joint care

Many people require orthopedic care due to age or overuse. Your joints can be affected by arthritis and repeated use, which can cause cartilage to wear down and pain to occur. Our goal is to reduce joint pain through physical therapy and surgical options. We offer a variety of joint replacement surgeries.

  • Hip: we offer partial and total hip replacement procedures, as well as the anterior approach to hip replacement. These three options offer individualized care for each patient’s case and the severity of their condition.
  • Shoulder replacement: Orthopedic problems may occur with both the shoulder joint and the supporting muscles in the shoulder. We offer partial, total and reverse total shoulder replacement options. Additionally, we care for your shoulder muscles through rotator cuff surgical options.
  • Knee replacement: Many active people will acquire pain and/or arthritis in one or both of their knees. We offer specialized knee replacement options, including custom prosthetic implants designed specifically for each patient. It is important to start strengthening the muscles around your knee in order to aid in post-operative physical therapy.

Spine care

There are a number of spine conditions that may require intervention from an orthopedist or require orthopedic surgery. We treat spinal fractures, scoliosis, degenerative disc disease and osteoarthritis, all of which can cause damage to the spine. We offer both non-surgical and surgical treatment options.

Orthopedic care at HCA Houston Healthcare

Orthopedic doctors, called orthopedists, take care of your bones and joints. This includes knee pain, total joint replacement, issues that impact your spine and more. You might need to see an orthopedist if you have arthritis or osteoporosis, or if you've had a recent sprain, strain or broken bone.
