At HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, we offer inpatient and outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, respiratory therapy and cardiac rehabilitation.

Our licensed therapists and specialists provide comprehensive one-on-one education, rehabilitative care and support following life-changing events such as strokes, amputations, spinal cord injuries and accidents. We also work with patients who have orthopedic conditions and injuries, neurological conditions, are recovering from sports injuries and those who have suffered a cardiac event.

Southeast Houston physical therapy and rehabilitation services

Using a multidisciplinary approach, HCA Houston Southeast’s physical therapy and rehab team work together to help you meet your goals. Our team includes board-certified rehab and internal medicine physicians, case managers, certified rehab nurses, therapists, pathologists, psychologists, registered dieticians and wound care specialists. Our physicians are on-site daily and available to manage your care when needed.

Inpatient therapy and rehabilitation

At HCA Houston Southeast, we offer inpatient physical, occupational and speech-language therapies. Our state-of-the-art rehabilitative equipment and evidence-based treatment helps us maximize your independence and speed up your recovery. Our patients have access to resources and equipment such as a therapy kitchen, rehabilitation garden, car transfer simulator, lift system technology and body weight support systems.

Our care doesn’t end when you leave our facility. We will help you prepare for your return home by creating a discharge plan and scheduling follow-up referrals, as well as providing patient support groups and family education and training to ensure a safe discharge home.

Patients who require additional care after discharge will receive outpatient services through our team at the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center, conveniently located across the street from the main hospital.

Outpatient therapy and rehabilitation

The Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center at HCA Houston Southeast provides outpatient physical and occupational therapy, and speech-language therapy to the Pasadena area. We treat a wide range of conditions, including sports-related injuries, spondylosis, spinal stenosis, concussions, hand and wrist injuries, osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease.

Our multidisciplinary team of licensed therapists and specialists provide one-on-one sessions that are customized to help you achieve the best possible outcome after an injury or surgery. We also offer extended hours to accommodate your busy schedule.

Our patients have access to a gym equipped with exercise equipment, including balance and gait trainers and suspension training equipment, which help build strength and improve balance. We also offer balance and fall assessments, back and work injury education, functional movement screenings and functional capacity assessments.

We have a team of physical and occupational therapists who specialize in women’s health issues, including pelvic floor dysfunction, the management of lymphedema, and prenatal and postnatal care. Our compassionate therapists will diagnose your condition, provide education and support, and create a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs.
