HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast provides pulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory therapy for people experiencing lung problems.
The individually-supervised pulmonary rehabilitation program is designed to help patients decrease the symptoms of their disease or condition. Research has shown that regular participation in a pulmonary rehabilitation program decreases the number and length of hospital stays.
HCA Houston Southeast’s program focuses on endurance and strength training and is beneficial for people with conditions including:
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Chronic asthma
- Pulmonary fibrosis
- Lung cancer and lung cancer surgery
Our monitored, supervised rehabilitation program provides exercise and education about a variety of topics, including:
- Drug efficacy
- Oxygen therapy
- Diet and nutrition
- Symptom assessment
- When to seek medical treatment

- Echocardiograms, EKG’s, EEG’s
- Vascular procedure follow-up
- Pulmonary function screening
- Post-surgical barometry

- Plethysmography (measurement of air in the lungs)
