Tomball names Richard Moore as new chief medical officer
Dr. Moore has 28 years of emergency medicine experience and has held multiple collaborative leadership positions over the past 15 years.
Houston, Texas — HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Moore, M.D. as chief medical officer (CMO), effective May 1, 2024.
Dr. Moore has 28 years of emergency medicine experience and most recently served as the medical director of the emergency department for Rio Grande Regional Hospital, an HCA Healthcare-affiliated hospital in McAllen, Texas. Over the last 15 years, Moore has held multiple collaborative leadership positions and helped steer several high performing quality programs and initiatives.

Dr. Moore is a board-certified internist, earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He is currently in the process of completing his MBA from the University of Texas - Dallas. He has published numerous papers and has extensive research in the areas of emergency medicine, sepsis, and stroke.
