Eric Rinard, who has been the division director of strategic insights and analytics at the HCA Gulf Coast Division since January 2018, has been named assistant vice president for Decision Support Services and Business Intelligence for the division, effective July 7, 2019.

“Eric has nearly a decade of experience in healthcare system financial management here at the HCA Gulf Coast Division, Baptist Health System, Tenet Healthcare, and the St. Joseph Health System,” said Mauricio Camargo, senior vice president of Strategic Planning and Business Intelligence. “His expertise includes financial analysis, project management, operational/capital budgeting, change management, strategic planning, and other financial management skills.”

Rinard’s promotion comes after the retirement announcement of Keith Hart, vice president of Decision Support Services. In light of Keith Hart’s retirement, we are adjusting Decision Support Services reporting structure within the Gulf Coast Division. In order to follow standard practices across HCA Healthcare Divisions, and to better service our needs in strategic growth and development, the Decision Support Department will report up to and integrate with the Strategic Planning and Business Intelligence function.

Keith Hart and Eric Rinard will work closely to ensure continuity of services and a seamless transition by early 2020. Eric earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Texas A&M University in 2007 and a master’s degree in health administration from Texas A&M Health Science Center in 2011.
