Our labor and delivery teams—consisting of obstetricians, gynecologists, registered nurses, operating room technicians, lactation consultants and childbirth educators—provide care for all of your needs to have a safe birthing experience.
We support birthing preferences and are prepared to provide the best care if routine labor develop complications. At many of our birthing centers we provide.

HCA Houston also provides comprehensive prenatal care to ensure that you and your baby receive the best treatment for a healthy pregnancy. At HCA Houston Southeast, we even provide midwifery services for expecting mothers. Here, certified nurse midwives focus on support and education while providing expert midwifery care to pregnant patients.
Several of our facilities also provide comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies where maternal-fetal specialists manage the care of complex situations.
HCA Houston is a strong supporter of patient education and offers a variety of classes, support groups, and tours to help women and their families prepare for pregnancy, birth and parenthood. Classes offered help to prepare mothers for labor and delivery, breastfeeding, infant care and more.
Level II and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU)
Eight of our hospital locations have neonatologists that will provide 24-hour care for your newborn if needed. In the case of a high-risk pregnancy or if your newborn has special needs due to premature birth or illness, our Level II and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) are available to provide the best care for you and your baby.
At The Woman's Hospital of Texas, our Level IV NICU allows us to offer the highest level of care available for newborns who are premature, critically-ill, or have a life threatening health condition. In addition, the Woman's Hospital provide 24/7 emergency transport care for premature or sick babies in need of the highest level of NICU care.
