July 18, 2017 (Houston, Texas) – During the Tomball city council meeting Monday, July 17, Mayor Gretchen Fagan issued a formal proclamation to HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division and its most recent hospital addition, Tomball Regional Medical Center (TRMC). The proclamation recognizes the many years of service TRMC has provided to the community and marks a new chapter in its history as the latest member of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division.
“It will be an honor to receive this proclamation from the office of the mayor, and this acknowledgment confirms our unwavering commitment to providing our patients with access to safe, high-quality health care,” said Brett Kinman, interim chief executive officer at TRMC. “Our hospital is very fortunate to have the ongoing support of our local officials, community leaders, dedicated employees and, most importantly, the patients who choose our hospital.”
TRMC opened its doors as Tomball Community Hospital in 1976 with a vision of providing its residents with high-quality health care close to home. Population growth and a demand for more medical care and physicians has required the hospital to rapidly expand to accommodate the needs of the community over the years.
Kinman said the recent integration of TRMC into Houston-based HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division is a partnership that will continue the progress made by TRMC by increasing access to health care services and strengthening hospital care quality.
“Becoming a part of HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division is another step forward for Tomball Regional Medical Center, and we look forward to collaborating with our new partner to enhance the health of our community,” Kinman added.
